Recipes

In the Indian subcontinent, the practice of writing down recipes in recipe books is rare. People memorize recipes and do not follow strict measurements. We usually eyeball everything, meaning every person has a different rendition of the same recipe. This is great, but the downside is that many old recipes get lost over generations. Not a Curry, as an Indian recipe blog, therefore tries to archive lost recipes and cooking techniques so we can keep alive and save the Indian culinary traditions against the onslaught of cultural homogenization and currification of everything Indian.
